Chris and Sarah's quest for survival continues in the aftermath of the fall of Detroit. battered, alone and newly homeless, they must find a new place to live as winter overtakes the city. Contaminated snow covers everything. Touch it and die. But what lies beneath the snow might be even more dangerous...
I can only imagine the fear that this family feels when they look, or the fear when I look outside and see myself in Downtown Detroit covered in deadly snow. Detroit is my hometown and once again Varney keeps us really in tune. You see, since it is my hometown I feel like I really have some say in this review because hey this guy knows Detroit. Somehow he gets everything just right and everytime I creep downtown, I feel the need to flashback to my read and get the creepy crawliez! Detroit speaks for itself on scary but this book takes the scary and spices it up and you definitely get jolted. The element of shock and something new really takes a bite out of ya! Fire fighting madness, a little alcohol, and lots of death defying, end of the line, maneuvering to stay alive. Varney surely ignited the end of my 2016 with Beneath The Snow!Really though guys you just can't take my word for it, get this read today. I can only say you will be glad you did. If you have not read the first one I suggest purchasing that one too. It leaves you breathless...... Varney you so Rock! Can't wait to get my eyes on the next one.
I rate this book a FULL FREAKIN' FIVE STARS! Varney is absolutely STUNNING!
