Hope
springs eternal for everyone except Bella Kynaston. She survived the
rape, but making it through the trial is another deal all together. As
lies come forward, more questions arise leaving Bella to suffer more
punishment than she believed she deserved. Sometimes ending it all seems
like the only answer. Will she find the peace she so desperately seeks
if the pain permanently ended?
Jeremiah believed he’d done the right thing, even if the timing hadn’t been ideal. The only way to protect Bella was if he stayed out of her life. Or so he thought. When Bella starts dating David, Jeremiah thinks David could save her. As it turns out, things progressively get worse. Could Jeremiah be the solution? If so, can he get to her in time? Or will he suffer the worst punishment of his life and lose her forever?

Swifty
swallowed, grateful for the window between him and Gervasio. The man
looked downright pissed. So the news he’d delivered hadn’t
exactly been positive for the man. A few days ago he accessed the
court records and determined Bella planned to testify. In his mind,
this was good. He’d shared the information with his father, who
hadn’t responded since the conversation they had two weeks ago.
Unfortunately,
Gervasio hadn’t shared the joy. The only thing that seemed to
please him was the intel regarding the DNA. How had the man managed
to get somebody else’s DNA planted in place of his? Not something
Gervasio planned to explain. Even if everything they’d stated so
far had been in code. After all, their conversations were monitored.
He was going to ask, but would probably regret the answer. “Should
I check on her?”
“Yes.
She have great problem with health. Worry too much.”
Swifty
winced under Gervasio’s scrutiny. The only problem she had with her
health was sitting right in front of him. If he hadn’t needed to
keep up appearances, he wouldn’t have bothered with this visit. “I
understand, sir. Are there any expenses to be spared?”
“Whatever
it take. Is that clear?”
“Yes
sir. I’ll report back in a week.”
“I
think two week better.” Gervasio scowled.
“Of
course, sir.”
“Good.
And Swifty?”
He
hated that nickname. The Grim Reapers had given it to him after they
labeled him “The Messenger.” All because they realized the
ability he had to access certain information and remain invisible.
“Yes sir?”
Gervasio’s
gaze honed in on Swifty as a sinister smile spread across his lips
and pronounced the jagged edges of the scar on the right side of his
face. His gaze bounced over to the guy who stood behind Swifty. He
looked like just another person waiting his turn to speak to his
loved one. “You should get small gift for your... girlfriend.”
“Yes
sir. I understand. Is there anything else?”
“No.
That all. You may go.”
Swifty
returned the phone to its cradle and stood. This would be one of
those moments where serving as the underrated courier benefited him.
He exchanged a handshake with the guy who waited and discreetly
tucked away the folded envelope in the pocket of his pants.
Interesting. The man’s fingers looked similar to his own. Another
reason the Grim Reapers welcomed him into their fold, no
fingerprints. That proved more useful to them over the past two years
than he would’ve liked to recall. He suspected his father could be
blamed for that tragedy. His fingers had been badly burned when he
was a child. Not that he ever intended to question the man about how
it happened. The fact was it had. No point in dredging up the past.
He
stepped outside of the facility and trekked on toward his car. His
fingers tightened around the envelope, but he had to wait to open it
until he reached his vehicle. Then he could see what Gervasio schemed
and decide on a course of action. Either way, he refused to contact
his father again. Juan Castell had gone absent for the last time.

Writing. At that time she wrote her first short story dealing with
sexual abuse and forgiveness. Psychological issues in her family filled
her with the desire to help others using her own experiences. So in

sister is the one with dreams of becoming a Psychologist, Krys Fenner
returned to Creative Writing. She is currently working on a Bachelor of
Arts and plans to continue on to a Masters degree, where she can major
in her first love (Creative Writing) and minor in her second
